Aims:
1. To develop an understanding of the Electrical Power System and its components.
2. To consolidate and extend understanding of electrical machines.

Outline Syllabus:
DC-DC Converters, DC-AC converters, DC Electric machines, Induction motor control, synchronous machine as motor and generator. Electrical System specifications and sizing. Components of power systems, transmission line, distribution, power flow in two bus system, per-unit system. Substation protection, economics of operation and planning of systems.
