Aims:
To develop understanding and skill in photography through working with others, collaborating with organisations and institutions external to the university such as community groups in making images that represents their activities, or museums by using an archive to help generate projects.

Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
Students develop a project with an organisation outside the University with the intention of create work through collaboration and partnership. This is supported by a short series of lectures; studio based workshops and supervised practical work. Students create a visual diary that is used for both formative and summative assessment. Negotiation and liaison with external organisations (for example: Fabric, The National Media Museum, Local Authority, appropriate community organisations) is supported and managed by tutors in the Department. Students will negotiate their submissions for Coursework 2 with tutors.

Outline Syllabus:
Visual research, learning to negotiate with others in the making and use of images within the public domain, printing out or formatting work in an appropriate form for final presentation.
