Teaching Period:   Semester 1

Module Occurrence:   A

Module Level:   FHEQ Level 4

Module Type:   Linked 10+10

Provider:   Engineering

Related Department/Subject Area:   Engineering: Design & Product Development (not in use)

Principal Co-ordinator:   Mr P Dowhyj

Additional Tutor(s):   -

Prerequisite(s):   None

Corequisite(s):   None

Aims:
1.1 To develop knowledge of raster image editing and vector illustration software and interactive presentations to enhance digital presentation ability.
1.2 To develop the ability to represent artefacts by appropriate methods and media including 3D forms and organic shapes; 3D NURBS modelling; rendering; rendering and animation for presentation; technical surfacing for production.

Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
A series of seminars and tutorial sessions will be used to develop a deeper understanding of the topic and how it may be applied to design. The module will be assessed by four classroom tests, which will test both knowledge and application.

Lectures:   0.00          Directed Study:   128.00
