Aims:
To enhance the design expertise of the students by exposing them to instructional interaction in the process of mentoring Studio 1 and Studio 2 modules and other design related modules.

Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
Students conduct supervised mentoring, desktop critique and team involvement in Studio 1 (ENG1047L) and Studio 2 (ENG2065L) and teaching support in other design based modules. Concepts and approaches relating to mentoring and formal report writing techniques will be introduced in lectures. Assessment is by reflective report

Outline Syllabus:
Assist Stage 1 & 2 students in understanding design issues and reflective writing; lead design discussions and desktop critique throughout the development of individual projects. Act as consultants providing help and/or assistance throughout the development of team projects. Develop a greater understanding about selected aspects of the course by assisting in the delivery of Stage 1 & 2 modules.Theory processes and responsibilities associated with mentoring.
