Aims:
To integrate and apply existing knowledge to implant design and technology and to apply general design procedures/methodology to medical devices such as joint replacements, including hip, knee and other joints.

Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
Knowledge disseminated and concepts explored in lectures, with learning supported by tutorial problems.
Formative assessment and oral feedback given in tutorials. The context of the module is explored and supplemented by hospital and industrial visits (other). The formal examination will assess all of the learning outcomes expressed in the descriptor
