Outline Syllabus:
Introduction to manufacturing processes, systems and technologies; metrology and dimensioning; Processes: metal casting processes; polymer shaping processes (moulding, extrusion); metal machining (milling, turning, drilling, grinding, tooling); joining and assembly processes (welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, riveting); manufacturing engineering: group technology; FMS; production lines; process planning; production control; rapid prototyping.
