Aims:
To develop an understanding of the design and operation of robotic systems

Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
This module is characterised as `work-based learning` constituting part of a Foundation Degree. The teaching strategy is to provide support material via web and paper based resources. These will allow students to understand and reflect upon work place activates. Supplementary assessment is to repair deficiencies in origianl submission.

Outline Syllabus:
Design, operational principles and sources of error within industrial robotic systems. Methods of control. Methods of programming.
Students will identify an appropriate system at their place of work and describe its design and operation using the key concepts presented in the support material.
